About Us

As a visual arts institution, the Gulf Coast Museum of Art is committed to collecting, interpreting, preserving, and exhibiting fine art. The Museum’s collecting focus is contemporary Florida art from 1960 forward and American fine crafts, primarily from the 12 Southeastern United States. Additionally the Museum holds a small collection of late 19th and 20th century work. The Museum’s diverse and ever-changing exhibition schedule presents some of the most innovative art created by Florida artists and Southeastern craftsmen, as well as important exhibitions of major 20th and 21st century American artists.
